About the Album

Tu Bendición is a tribute album by Miguel Vallarta to his late mother, whom he affectionately calls Doña Pachita. Across twelve songs, it follows the hardest passage a person can walk: the time before her passing, the moment of loss itself, and the long days after. It is the most personal record in his catalog, written not as a performance but as a way of keeping his mother close after she was gone.

The album takes its name from her blessing. For as long as he can remember, before every goodbye, she would give him her blessing, just in case they did not get to see each other again. The title song tells the story of the last one, given from her hospital bed. The rest of the record gathers around that moment: her strength, the days that did not feel real, the people who came to say goodbye, and the slow work of carrying her forward.

There is a quiet thread running through it all about the things we save, the recordings, the stories, and the songs that outlast a person and keep speaking on her behalf. By the time the album reaches "Amor eterno (El mapa)," that idea becomes a kind of map for grief itself, a way of finding your bearings when the person who always guided you is no longer here.

Musically, Tu Bendición leans into acoustic ballads and emotional Latin pop, keeping the arrangements intimate and unhurried, closer to a family gathering than a stage. In Miguel Vallarta's catalog it matters because it is where the music stops being about him and becomes about the woman who made him. It is an album for anyone walking through loss, written in the belief that love, and the stories we tell about it, do not end. To hear how these songs connect, explore more music by Miguel Vallarta.
