Story Behind the Song

"Vallarta en mi Corazón" (Vallarta in My Heart) is my tribute to Puerto Vallarta, written for the ache of missing it from far away. I wrote it for myself, for those times I find myself under a different sky and a different land, but I know I am not alone in it. There are thousands of us who carry this same love for our beloved city wherever life takes them.

Where "Yo Soy de Vallarta" plants a flag, this one is the love letter, softer and more grateful. It is the murmur of the sea calling you home, and the way just thinking of that place changes the whole song of your life.

It lives in the small, vivid memories, the wet streets in April, the laughter in the plaza, a shared coffee, the warmth of the market, and the sky all lit up at the end of the day. I blended Spanish and English in it on purpose, because the connection goes beyond the sea. It is the way home itself seems to smile at you.

And underneath it all is one quiet certainty, that no matter where I am, I will always find my way back. Home is less an address than a feeling you can return to in a song. Vallarta made me, and this is me saying thank you.
