Aquí Estoy (Extended)

This is the extended version of "Aquí Estoy" (Here I Am), with additional verses and more room to let the whole story breathe. Where the original makes its point and steps back, this cut lingers over every chapter of it.

It is the most personal thing I have written: a long road through family rejection, loneliness, and the slow work of standing in my own truth. As a child I already knew what it was to be pointed at, mocked, and looked down on, to feel erased even by my own brothers. Then, at eighteen, I arrived in Atlanta, Georgia, and instead of lending me a hand, my family chose to turn their backs on me completely.

But I refused to disappear. Out of that abandonment I built my own refuge, my own family, a world of three, and I made a promise I have kept ever since: to be the support, the voice, and the shield for my son, no matter what.

So the last word is healing. I was broken into a thousand pieces, and I put myself back together with my own truth. I am not a mistake and I am not a shame. I chose to live with courage, to love without any disguises, and to find peace in having been faithful to myself, to the person I love, and to my role as a father. The extended cut simply gives all of that more space. After everything, I am still here.
